If you hadn't heard, the UK is passing a new legislation that will make it harder for under 18's to view pornography. This will happen by adult sites asking or proof of age when accessing a restricted site, you may need to provide credit card details a drivers license or passport. There are many, many differing views on this new law, and of course as an adult store, we have something to say.
Pornography is often said to be first thing to go when our freedoms are threatened. Myles Jackman wonderfully stated “Pornography is the canary in the coal mine of free speech: it is the first freedom to die"
So what will this lead to? Say what you will about pornography but it serves a purpose and if they put restrictions on it, it doesn't stop it happening, it just makes it harder and more illegal to do it. Thus putting the customers, creators and sellers of pornography at risk.
