We are overjoyed to share some incredible news—Scandals was honoured at the Flowers Awards, hosted by the Collaborative Network at the Titanic Hotel! We’re thrilled to announce that we won Business of the Year!
This award is an extraordinary recognition, and what makes it even more significant is that an adult store was chosen for this achievement. It highlights how far we’ve come as a society and speaks volumes about the wonderfully progressive and open-hearted spirit of the people of Liverpool. In a city celebrated for its diversity and acceptance, it’s inspiring to see businesses like ours—dedicated to freedom of expression, individuality, and inclusivity—being embraced and celebrated. This recognition serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of challenging outdated norms and continuing to create spaces where everyone can feel welcome.
For over 20 years, we have proudly stood alongside the LGBTQ+ community, providing a safe space where individuals can feel free to be themselves. This award underscores the importance of that mission. We are equally proud to collaborate with charities and initiatives that support LGBTQ+ adults. Together, we strive to ensure that everyone has access to welcoming environments where they can express themselves without fear or judgment.
Being in a room full of such warm, like-minded, and open-hearted individuals was a privilege we’ll never forget. The sense of shared vision and community was genuinely inspiring.
And before we forget—apologies to anyone whose eardrums we might have burst when we found out we’d won! We were fully dressed up and prepared to graciously accept defeat against the other amazing businesses in the room, so you can imagine our shock (and loud excitement!) when our name was announced.
