Viagra- Wonder Drug or Risky Business?

Originally posted 09/12/2017

Last week it was announced that the UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) have decided to allow Viagra to be purchased from pharmacies without a prescription from a GP. This is likely to come into effect as early as Spring 2018.

While the reasons behind this are certainly admirable, the main point being to tackle counterfeit dealing, hardly any of the coverage has analysed the potential dangers of Viagra being so commonly available.

Instead what is emerging is a dangerous trend towards vilifying Viagra alternatives. While the selling of counterfeits should absolutely be abolished, many herbal substitutes for Viagra currently exist for those who are worried about the side effects of the little blue pills, such as our own VExtra.

The side effects of Viagra commonly include (via drugs.com):

  • Aches or pains in the muscles
  • bloody nose
  • diarrhea
  • difficult or labored breathing
  • flushing
  • headache
  • pain or tenderness around the eyes and cheekbones
  • redness of the skin
  • sneezing
  • stomach discomfort following meals
  • stuffy or runny nose
  • trouble sleeping
  • unusually warm skin

However much more serious side effects such as anxiety, deafness, swelling of other body parts, vision loss, bone pain, skin ulcers, and many more can also occur in some cases.

We believe in being as open and honest with our customers as possible. Trusting us with your sexuality and intimate health is not something we take lightly. When we offer VExtra as an alternative it is because we genuinely believe in it as a healthier choice.

VExtra's main ingredient is Cordyceps Sinensis, a mushroom which has been used medicinally in Asia for thousands of years. One of it's colloquial names is actually Himalayan Viagra! Nowadays, Cordyceps is used as an immune-booster, a recovery aid from respiratory problems, a stamina booster, for cholesterol reduction, and of course as a sexual aid for both men and women. It has even shown anti-tumour properties and increases liver and kidney function.

This is a key point because people with liver or kidney problems often can not take Viagra. Moreover, Cordyceps helps circulation without putting the strain on the heart that Viagra does, therefore you shouldn't experience flushed skin or palpitations.

Overall, we truly believe that VExtra is an incredibly effective and healthy alternative to Viagra. And while pharmacists will be checking those buying Viagra over the counter, it is likely not going to be as regulated as making sure GP's do health checks before prescribing it.

Traditional medicines like Cordyceps are often swept under the carpet because they don't offer fast money to big companies. Instead, we've chosen to do our research and invest our time and money in a product which has far less side effects than Viagra, and none half as dangerous, but which is still incredible effective. VExtra remains our best selling product in Scandals and we are very proud to be able to make people's sex-lives that much better by supplying it.
